Library Services
Reference Service
Books, journal articles, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, biographies, maps and commission reports are arranged alphabetically and subject-wise for students.
Circulation Service
Users borrow books and study materials with their membership ID and return them by the due date as per library rules.
Content by Journal Service
Soft copies of the content pages of journals are sent to faculty members for reference.
Newspaper Clippings Service
Articles on law, judgments and legal education are clipped, displayed on the wall magazine and sent to faculty as soft copies.
Computer Lab with Internet
A computer lab with high-speed internet is available to users.
User Orientation Programme
At the beginning of every academic year fresh students are introduced to the collection, services and facilities of the library.
Institutional Membership
BMSCL is registered with the National Law School of India University, Bangalore – membership cards are available at the library.
Question Papers Archive
Previous years’ question papers of KSLU and Bangalore University are available and soft copies are sent to students.
New Arrivals
About Rs. 7 lakh is spent on books every year; new books are displayed in the New Arrival section for a week.
OPAC & Email Alert Service
LIBSOFT software – search by author, subject or title, reserve books and receive email alerts on issue and due dates.
Photocopy Service
Photocopies are available to students at nominal charges.
