Proctor System
Proctor System
The Proctor System gives every student a faculty mentor who provides continuous guidance through the semester, tracks academic progress and helps with personal concerns.
Aims & Objectives
- To provide overall support and guidance to the students
- To monitor the academic performance of students
- To address students’ grievances and personal issues
- To encourage participation in curricular and non-curricular activities
- To guide students on internships, higher studies and entrepreneurship
- To strengthen the teacher–student relationship
How it Works
1
At the start of the academic year, the Principal appoints a Faculty Coordinator.
2
The Coordinator allots students and assigns proctors for each semester.
3
Proctors meet their students regularly and submit reports to the Coordinator.
4
The Coordinator prepares the consolidated report and action-taken report with the Principal.
5
If a proctor leaves mid-semester, the Coordinator reallocates the students; if the Coordinator leaves, the Principal appoints a replacement.
Duties of the Proctor
- Conduct proctor meetings with the allotted students
- Motivate the students to participate in curricular and non-curricular activities
- Counsel students on academic and personal problems
- Communicate with parents about the student’s academic performance
- Prepare a consolidated report for the Faculty Coordinator
